A semantic metaverse.
Text-quest inside a live world model.
VARGATES Virtual Worlds is a new product line from DreamLight — a data-driven metaverse where players act inside an information model of the world instead of navigating a pre-authored 3D scene. First live map opens around Games of Future 2026 in Astana.
What it is
Four design decisions
The product is early. Here is what it actually is today — stated plainly, so partners and press can judge for themselves.
Data-driven, not scene-driven
Players inhabit a semantic model of the world — an information graph in Postgres + pgvector — not a pre-authored 3D scene. Everything a player can do or discover is a fact in the graph.
LLM narrator, hard canon in the database
An LLM drives narration and arbitrates player actions in the moment. The world's canon — what is true, what has happened — is stored and versioned in the database, not held in the model's memory.
Real-time multiplayer over WebSockets
Multiple players share one live map. Actions synchronize in real time; the world reacts consistently for everyone in the same session.
First seed: Games of Future 2026, Astana
The first live map is built around Games of Future 2026 arenas in Astana. Small seed cohort, then broader public rollout as the platform hardens.
