DIMEDUS VR

Virtual patient simulation for medical education. DIMEDUS brings clinical learning into a virtual environment, including VR. It is designed for medical and nursing education, from student training to postgraduate practice. Medical universities and clinics can use its scenarios to support clinical skills and reasoning.

Clinical practice in a simulated setting

Clinical reasoning with virtual patients

Learners work through diagnostic cases involving patient complaints and medical history. The platform supports practice in patient assessment, clinical reasoning, and interpretation of laboratory results and medical images. Educators can select scenarios relevant to the subject they teach and request the current case list.

Procedures and surgical practice

DIMEDUS includes scenarios for medical manipulations and surgical interventions. These let learners practise the sequence of actions involved in a procedure within a simulated setting. They provide content for nursing and medical courses where procedural decision-making forms part of the curriculum.

Emergency care and teamwork

Emergency scenarios cover structured patient assessment and CPR practice. Multiplayer VR also allows participants to work together, communicate during a scenario and carry out parallel actions. This gives educators a setting for teaching team responses alongside individual clinical decisions.

Guided learning and assessment

Use Learn mode for guided practice, Perform for feedback while working through a case, and Exam for assessment without hints. Completion reports identify correct actions and errors, while learner statistics help educators review progress. Interactive lessons accompany clinical cases, supporting teaching as well as individual practice.
